Growth Mindset VS Fixed Mindset

Growing up we have always been told that if something came easy to you, you were smart and if  you asked questions you weren’t. The big idea of the growth mindset is a theory in which a person believes that even though they don't succeed at something, they should still put in the effort and never give up. Unlike other children who believe that the big idea of intelligence is that you are born with it and it is not developed. Renowned psychologist, Carol Dweck, proves that if a child is in a productive and an encouraging environment, the child will strive in knowledge and that it will contribute with them in their success. As stated in the text , the author illustrates this point as, ¨(Something that) isn't ability; it's whether you look at ability as something inherented that needs to be demonstrated or as something that can be developed¨(3)

The artifact that we created is a drawing that shows two students. Jason, a student with a growth mindset, and Aaron, a student with a fixed mindset. In this drawing, they have taken a test and have both received a C. Even though Jason did not pass, he tried his best and put in a lot of effort. As a matter of fact, Jason was inspired to study harder and retake the test. Unlike Aaron, who was very disappointed in himself, and lost the courage to move along with school that he dropped out of Harvard, one of the best school’s in the nation. Our artifact symbolizes two ways you can handle difficult obstacles in life, so our message to you is to be like Jason.

Growth Mindset Reflection

What i learned while working on the growth mindset project is how the growth and fixed mindset develops and even if you have grown up with a fixed mindset you can still develop a growth mindset.Yes in fact i did learn new things i learned  about how the growth mindset theory was developed and what famous people had fixed and growth mindsets and how many developed a growth mindset. Also along with that I  learned that i have both the combinations of a fixed and growth mindset. I have always been able to work  well with other and do enjoy because i like to see what others perspective is on things. Yes indeed i did learn more about critical thinking because  of what judgement we had to put into our paragraphs for them to be more of what the growth and fixed mindset would be like.

F.I.N.D
Fact, Internal Connection, New Idea, Decision

One fact about the crucible was that mass hysteria like this exists and that this had happened before in history.
While reading The Crucible I felt an Internal conflict that i had was understanding the mass hysteria and why many got accused with no prof which lead to the hangings happening by the word of someone. A new idea that i learned while reading The
Crucible
was in Salem Massachusetts 1692 most hangings that had occurred were  based of the word of ones self   and depending on  what got said the accused would get taken to court and there punishment would be decided or they may get released.  A Decision that i have sustained while reading The Crucible was that the  the terminology had been a little to difficult to understand and that i would probably have to end up rereading it at some point because maybe i missed some points of the play or did not even know what may have been going on.

October Reflection

In terms of reaching my this years academic goals i have been doing very well and even if I do go down with my grades or anything like that I always tend to make it up and get a good grade. I found  new book that i really liked and that i understand well so I am succeeding in reading. I tend to try to participate in this class especially when there are academic discussions but I do still need to improve on it. Some strengths that I see myself with in this class is presenting because i do tend and like to be able to talk loudly and clearly and not fidget even if I do get nervous a little sometimes. Along with the strengths a weakness I have in this class is trying to understand everything that is going on clearly because sometimes I only pick up bits and pieces. As a writer I fell like I will do well because i tend to try and figure out a new way to write something and while writing essays i get many ideas on how to write it and what to write. What is challenging for me is making sure i refer back to my gate icon . Something that is easy for me is finding new ways to write a sentence.Something that i want to work on this moth is making sure my essay writing has improved from writing and essay on "The Crucible". I want to make sure my writing improves because i want to become a better essay write.

Freedom/Conflict

Some costs of freedom are having ciaos and no order some benefits are being able to speak freely and do what you would like but along with that other costs may be  acts of violence. Conflict and freedom interrelate because if there is no order and just freedom then there would be much conflict and ciaos going on in the world. Conflict and freedom are not true opposites because they will both create ciaos. There is a paradoxical  relationship because Freedom is far from conflict because
